Why do plant cells have large vacuoles?

Biology

They have large vacuoles because they need and store more water.

In plant cells, the vacuoles are much larger than in animal cells. When a plant cell has stopped growing, there is usually one very large vacuole. Sometimes that vacuole can take up more than half of the cell's volume. The vacuole holds large amounts of water or food.

You welcome.

The repeating stages a cell experiences, including cell division, compose the _____ _____.
NikAS [45]
The repeating stages a cell experiences, including cell division, compose the cell cycle, it is a sequence of events that lead first to the growth of the cell and later to the division into daughter cells. The cell cycle begins at the moment when a new cell appears, descended from another cell that has been divided, and ends at the moment when said cell, by subsequent division, originates new daughter cells.

Both adult and embryonic stem cells have the potential to be used for medical treatment. Evaluate the potential use of adult and
ICE Princess25 [194]

Stem cells are the body's raw materials — cells from which all other cells with specialized functions are generated. Under the right conditions in the body or a laboratory, stem cells divide to form more cells called daughter cells.Research carried out with the use of these cells has demonstrated their effectiveness in the treatment of various diseases, such as leukemia, heart disease and hematological diseases. Embryonic stem cells, in turn, have the ability to form any tissue in the body.

How are embryonic stem cells used?

Stem cells have the ability to differentiate and self-renew. For this reason, they can be used in the treatment of degenerative diseases. Stem cells stand out for their ability to transform into different cell types, that is, they are cells with a great capacity for differentiation.

What diseases could be treated with the use of Embryonic Stem Cells?

 • Diseases that can be treated with stem cells
 • leukemias. Leukemia is a generic term used to describe the “cancer” of leukocytes, the white blood cells.
 • Thalassemias.
 • Neuroblastoma.
 • Primary immunodeficiencies.
 • Sideroblastic anemia.
 • Metabolic diseases.
 • Sickle cell anemia.

With this information, we can conclude that Scientists are also working on ways to develop stem cells from other cells, using genetic “reprogramming” techniques.

A man suffers a penetrating wound through the anterior axillary fold, with resulting damage to one of the main terminal branches
WITCHER [35]

Answer:

The correct answer is option b. Weakening of flexion at the shoulder and loss of cutaneous sensation on the anterolateral surface of the forearm.

Explanation:

Brachii and brachialis are the two muscles that are innervated by the Musculocutaneous nerve. These muscles help in the production of the flexion at the elbow, and it is known that the musculocutaneous nerve is damaged due to the penetration through the anterior axillary fold.

Other than these muscles there would be an effect on the nerve that provides sensory signals or information to the anterolateral surface of the forearm, known as the lateral antebrachial cutaneous nerve.

Thus, the correct answer is: option B.
