Hiya! ✌.ʕʘ‿ʘʔ.✌

Okay, so with a square, ALL sides are EQUAL.

To find the perimeter of a shape, you just need to add the measure of all sides together.

What you can do, is since all sides are equal, and a square has four sides, just get the measure of ONE side and multiply that by 4! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

The perimeter is 72 meters and if we find the value of u, we get the value of all sides.

Let's set this up as an equation:

P = 4u where P = perimeter and u = measure of one side

Let's insert the given value (72) into the equation for perimeter

72 = 4u

Now we have to solve for u, and to do that, we have to get it by itself on that side of the equation. u is being multiplied by 4, so do the opposite by dividing both sides of the equation by 4!

72/4=18

4u/4=u

Now our equation looks like this:

18 = u

So the value of u is 18! (✿◠‿◠)

To prove it, insert it into the formula... P = 4(18)... P = 72.

Boom! :D

Have a lovely day~ ≧◡≦

If Mark gets 150 free miles, how many miles will he be charged for with these two odometer readings: 29,582 and 30,283?
lapo4ka [179]
He will be charged for 551 miles.

30283-29582=701 miles traveled in the rental vehicle.

150 of those miles are free; 701-150 = 551 miles he will be charged for.

A scale drawing of a dance floor is shown. What is the area of the
Pepsi [2]

The area of a rectangle is length times width or l*w or lw

so the length being 22 cm and width 14 cm

22*14 = 308 cm

the area of the dance floor is 308 square cm of the scale drawing...

it says that 5cm in the scale drawing is 8 ft in reality...

so 35.2 ft and 22.4 ft are the new length and width respectively

so 35.2 times 22.4 is the actual floor area

788.48 ft

Hope this helps ;)

Please help, basic algebra. Find the value of x
Helga [31]

Answer: x = 131

Reasoning: Alternate interior angle theorem

The angles shown are inside the parallel lines, so they are interior angles. They are also considered alternate angles because they are on alternating sides of the transversal cut. Alternate interior angles are congruent when we have parallel lines like this.
