Answer:

The value of inventory is $15.75 million as shown in the calculation below.

Explanation:

In order to calculate the inventory of Brenda's Bar and Grill we substitute for the values of current ratio and liabilities into the current ratio formula with current assets, the known taken as x.

Current ratio=current assets/current liabilities

2.1=x/$15m

x=$15m*2.1

x=31.5 m

Hence current assets is $31.5

Since current is comprises of 10% cash ,40% accounts receivable,hence inventory has the balance of 50%.

As a result inventory is 50%*$31.5

Inventory is $15.75

The company might need to calculate quick ratio to actually confirm its short term liquidity position.

At the end of the first year, your books showed total revenues of $180,000 and total explicit costs of $90,000 for labor, ink, u
jeka57 [31]

Answer:

$90,000; $90,000

Explanation:

Given that,

At the end of the first year,

Total revenues of the books = $180,000

Total explicit costs = $90,000

Here, we assume that there is no opportunity cost of doing this business, Total implicit costs = $0

Explicit costs refers to the costs that are incurred for running the business such as rent, labor, ink, utilities, taxes, and miscellaneous supplies.

Economic profit is determined by deducting explicit costs and implicit costs from the total revenue. Implicit costs are the opportunity costs.

Total cost of doing business during the first year:

= Explicit costs + Implicit costs

= $90,000 + $0

= $90,000

Economic profit:

= Total revenues - Explicit costs - Implicit costs

= $180,000 - $90,000 - $0

= $90,000

Dan Pink argues that for 21st century tasks in creative businesses the mechanistic, reward-and-punishment approach will not work
Ber [7]

Answer: True

Explanation:

This statement is true. Dan Pink argued that when it came to creative businesses, it would be best to use intrinsic as opposed to extrinsic rewards to encourage employees as extrinsic rewards such as money could constrain creativity.

Intrinsic rewards are those that are psychologically rewarding such as giving employees tasks that are fulfilling and make them feel part of the team as well as positive feedback from employers.

The money supply increases when the Fed a. lowers the discount rate. The increase will be larger the larger the reserve ratio is
jeka94

Answer: d. lowers the discount rate. The increase will be larger the smaller the reserve ratio is

Explanation: The money supply is given as the total amount of money (bills, coins, loans, credit, and other liquid instruments) in a particular economy (in circulation or in existence).

The Fed has a number of tools for managing the money supply which include: changing the discount rate, changing the reserve requirement, conducting open market operations and redeeming Federal Reserve notes.

Using the discount rate, which is the interest rate the Federal Reserve charges on loans from the Federal Reserve, to increase money supply, the Fed lowers the discount rate which basically increases excess reserves in commercial banks across the economy thus increasing the money supply. The increase in the money supply will be significantly larger the smaller the reserve ratio is.

The firm receives an average of $20,000 in checks per day. The weighted average delay in clearing the checks received is 3 days.
katrin [286]

Answer:

$26000

Explanation:

from the question;

check per day; 20000

delay: 3 days

checks to pay suppliers; 17000

clearing time 2 days

we first calculate collection flaot:

collection flaot = average amount of check x outstanding days

= 20000 x 3

= 60000

now we have to calculate disbursements float:

average amount of check x days to clear

= 17000 x 2

= 34000

with these two values we can get the net float

= collection flaot - disbursements float

= 60000 - 34000

= $26000
