Answer:

x = 4/3 y +16/3

Step-by-step explanation:

3x-4y=16

Add 4y to each side

3x-4y+4y=16+4y

3x = 4y+16

Divide each side by 3

3x/3 = 4y/3 +16/3

x = 4/3 y +16/3

3x - 4y = 16

3x = 16 + 4y

Thus the answer is :

15 + 4y

the function f(t)= 3,500(1.003)^t gives the value of a saving account t months after it was opened.How long will it take for the
Pavel [41]

Answer:

After 19 months,value in the account will reach $3700

Step-by-step explanation:

The value of a savings account f(t) in terms of t ( number of months since account opening) is given as \[3,500(1.003)^{t}\]

We need to determine the value of t when f(t)>=3700

Expressing it in equation form,

\[3,500(1.003)^{t} >= 3700\]

\[=>(1.003)^{t} >= \frac{3700}{3500}\]

\[=>(1.003)^{t} >= 1.057\]

Taking log of both sides,

\[=>t * log(1.003) >= log(1.057)\]

\[=>t >= \frac{log(1.057)}{log(1.003)}\]

\[=>t >= 18.51\]

So t = 19.

Equality Properties

<u>Pre-Calculus</u>

  • Law of Sines: \frac{sin(A)}{a} = \frac{sin(B)}{b}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

A = 50°

B = 62°

a = 4

<u>Step 2: Solve for </u><em><u>b</u></em>

  1. Substitute [LOS]:                    \frac{sin(50)}{4} = \frac{sin(62)}{b}
  2. Cross-multiply:                       bsin(50) = 4sin(62)
  3. Isolate <em>b</em>:                                 b = \frac{4sin(62)}{sin(50)}
  4. Evaluate:                                 b = 4.61042
  5. Round:                                    b \approx 4.6

SOMEONE NEEDS TO EXPLAIN WHY 1.40 DIDNT WORK ON MY QUESTION 2.1/1.488
Zanzabum

My calculator shows that

(2.1)/(1.488) = 1.41129

which is approximate. If you want the result to two decimal places, then it would be 1.41 and not 1.40

Try 1.41 and it should work out, assuming your teacher wants two decimal places.
