We know that Vertically Opposite Angles of two Lines Crossing each other are Equal.

From the Given Figure We can notice that x° and 128° are Vertically opposite Angles. So, they both should be Equal.

⇒ x° = 128°

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

32 - 7x = 2x - 3(4x - 5) ← distribute parenthesis

32 - 7x = 2x - 12x + 15

32 - 7x = - 10x + 15  ( add 7x to both sides )

Anna made her error here in that she subtracted 7x from both sides

32 = - 3x + 15 ( subtract 15 from both sides )

17 = - 3x ( divide both sides by - 3 )

- \frac{17}{3} = x ← is the solution

The revenue, in dollars, of a company that produces video game systems can be modeled by the expression 5x2 + 2x – 80. The cost,
WINSTONCH [101]
<span>SALES:      5x² + 2x – 80
</span>- COST:      5x² – x + 100
=                 ------------------
PROFIT:      0x²+3x-180
(+3x because we subtracted a negative (-x), which is called adding, similarly taking away 100 from negative 80 is -180.)

Checking:
5x² + 2x – 80
5(500)²+2(500)-80 = 1,250,920

5x² – x + 100
5(500)² – (500) + 100= 1,249,600

Profit = 1,250,920 - 1,249,600 = 1,320

0(500)²+3(500)-180 = 1,320  YAY! {:-)

Double Checking:

5x² + 2x – 80
5(5000)²+2(5000)-80 = 125,009,920

5x² – x + 100
5(5000)² – (5000) + 100= 124,995,100

Profit = 125,009,920 - 124,995,100 = 14,820

0(5000)²+3(5000)-180 = <span>14,820</span>  YAY! {:-)

recall that the radius is the distance from the center of a circle to any point on the circle.

we know the center is at -16,-14, and we know that -8,-8 is a point on the circle, so the distance between both must be the radius.

\bf ~~~~~~~~~~~~\textit{distance between 2 points}&#10;\\\\&#10;(\stackrel{x_1}{-16}~,~\stackrel{y_1}{-14})\qquad&#10;(\stackrel{x_2}{-8}~,~\stackrel{y_2}{-8})\qquad \qquad&#10;d = \sqrt{( x_2- x_1)^2 + ( y_2- y_1)^2}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;\stackrel{radius}{r}=\sqrt{[-8-(-16)]^2+[-8-(-14)]^2}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;r=\sqrt{(-8+16)^2+(-8+14)^2}\implies r=\sqrt{8^2+6^2}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;r=\sqrt{100}\implies \boxed{r=10}&#10;\\\\[-0.35em]&#10;\rule{34em}{0.25pt}

\bf \textit{equation of a circle}\\\\&#10;(x- h)^2+(y- k)^2= r^2&#10;\qquad&#10;center~~(\stackrel{-16}{ h},\stackrel{-14}{ k})\qquad \qquad&#10;radius=\stackrel{10}{ r}&#10;\\\\\\\&#10;[x-(-16)]^2+[y-(-14)]^2=10^2\implies \blacktriangleright (x+16)^2+(y+14)^2=100 \blacktriangleleft
