Answer: The correct answer is Gene.

Gene is a segment of DNA ( deoxyribonucleic acid) that codes for a protein. The protein thus formed corresponds to a specific trait of the organism.

The gene first undergoes transcription to synthesize mRNA ( messenger RNA), which is finally translated to form protein.

Thus, the term associated with transcription and that describe regions of nucleic acid is gene.

The term associated with the transcription of nucleic acid is the transcription terminator. Transcription terminator is a region of nucleic acid sequence that ear marks the end of an operon or gene during transcription of a genomic DNA.  The nucleic acid sequence ensures the mediation of transcriptional termination through signal provision of newly synthesized transcript RNA which trigger the release of transcript RNA.

Describe the steps to transcribe an mRNA molecule and use the mRNA molecule to produce proteins.
oksano4ka [1.4K]

Answer:

Explanation:

The genes in DNA encode protein molecules, which are the "workhorses" of the cell, carrying out all the functions necessary for life. For example, enzymes, including those that metabolize nutrients and synthesize new cellular constituents, as well as DNA polymerases and other enzymes that make copies of DNA during cell division, are all proteins.

In the simplest sense, expressing a gene means manufacturing its corresponding protein, and this multilayered process has two major steps. In the first step, the information in DNA is transferred to a messenger RNA (mRNA) molecule by way of a process called transcription. During transcription, the DNA of a gene serves as a template for complementary base-pairing, and an enzyme called RNA polymerase II catalyzes the formation of a pre-mRNA molecule, which is then processed to form mature mRNA (Figure 1). The resulting mRNA is a single-stranded copy of the gene, which next must be translated into a protein molecule.

During translation, which is the second major step in gene expression, the mRNA is "read" according to the genetic code, which relates the DNA sequence to the amino acid sequence in proteins (Figure 2). Each group of three bases in mRNA constitutes a codon, and each codon specifies a particular amino acid (hence, it is a triplet code). The mRNA sequence is thus used as a template to assemble—in order—the chain of amino acids that form a protein

But where does translation take place within a cell? What individual substeps are a part of this process? And does translation differ between prokaryotes and eukaryotes? The answers to questions such as these reveal a great deal about the essential similarities between all species.

Two students were testing the amount of fertilizer that would best promote the growth of strawberries in a garden. Which of the
Helga [31]

The correct answer is option (A) Variation in the strawberry plants.

When the effect of fertilizer on the growth of two strawberry plants is tested, unavoidable source of experimental error is the variation in the strawberry plants. Variation refers to the deviation or differences from the normal plant which can be due to genetic variation. It is due to change in the DNA sequence. If any one of the two plants being tested show variation, the rate of metabolism differs and changes the growth pattern of the plant. The rate of absorption of water and nutrients is effected which brings change in the growth of the plant and causes an error in the experiment and the result.

Which would be the best way to measure the amount of loose rabbits on a farm?
Vladimir [108]

Answer:

Estimated Guess so D because if there are more then 10 rabbits you do not want to count every single one. So you would look at how many five are and see how many groups look like about 5 and then guess from there. So an estimated guess would quickly and easily get you a decent amount close to counting them.

Hows that for an answer.
