“Free the Children” is a world-wide acclaimed book written by activist Craig Kielburger and published on November 7, 1998. It is based on his trip to South Asia on 1995. In it he describes his transformation from an ordinary kid to an international human rights activist in favor of the eradication of child slavery. Throughout his book and also in the fragment above, Kielburger insists on the fact that children enslaved in factories must enjoy their right to freedom, like Iqbal did before his unexpected death by gun shot on April 16, 1995.
