So if jimmy had 8 bananas and ate 3 and then gave 2 away then got 16 back cause his mom went to the store. Then ate 9 then got 6 from his banana tree then gave 7 to his pet monkey how many bananas would he have left.

We can do this in steps
1) 8 -3 = 5
2) 5 - 2 = 3
3) 3 + 16 = 19
4) 19 - 9 = 10
5) 10 + 6 = 16
6) 16 - 7 = 9
The answer is 9.
