The war of 1812 lasted for nearly three years from 1812 to 1815 and this war was fought over issues that continued to create problems between the United States and Britain after the end of the Revolutionary war. During this war, many issues of Americans were resolved but the Treaty of Ghent ended the war that involved no change with regards to pre-war boundaries and borders. As a result, the United States and Britain called out for peace as all the causes related to the war disappeared.
