Answer:

Read Fatima's paragraph. Having moved up north just last year, I experienced my first snowstorm this past winter. At first, the snow twirled gently, lightly dusting the street, cars, and trees with snowy frosting. Then, the snow became a curtain, blinding my view so that I felt cocooned from the outside world. When the snow stopped, ice coated the trees and branches clacked like chattering teeth. Which sentence will Fatima's teacher most likely ask her to revise? posledela

Answer:

Nick’s complex attitude toward Gatsby. Was because of two reasons, first because he admired him as he represented Nick's ideal. Second, because he wanted to know what were his reasons for being the person he was.

Gatsby was great because he was recognized by society, he was a mystery, and he represented the general concept of success. Evidence of this is that his house was always filled with important people eager to meet him and enjoy his company.

Explanation:

The reasons behind these answers are that in the first place Nick arrived at the egg's zone in the search of a career, success, and something to go back home and show his family he had made it. Then suddenly he finds out about mister Gatsby, his mysterious neighbor that is admired by everyone, and somehow he recognizes him in the darkness of a random day. Jorge and Ben are best friends, but they aren’t speaking. Jorge thinks that Ben reported him for cheating during the game.
sasho [114]

It’s character vs. character even though it also states “Jorge thinks” which could also mean character vs. self ; it says that both Jorge and Ben are no longer speaking. That means that Jorge is angry with Ben so therefore the problem is between them two rather than himself.

The sentence that you can insert in the blank is D) Waiting for Godot was in danger of closing the first week of its run and of becoming nothing more than a footnote in the annals of the English stage.

This answer is showing us a contrast of ideas an in the next paragraph we have the contrast connector "HOwever" which makes the story have a perfect flow with that sentence.

The other options are not correct because they don't cover that contrast element as option D does.
