Answer: 66 skirts

Step-by-step explanation:

Since research shows that they will be able to sell at most three times as many skirts as dresses, and a dress will take 10 hours to produce and a skirt will take 1 hour,

Let the time of production be in 3:1

For the production of the skirts and the dress.

If 3 hours are used to produce 3 skirts, then 10 hours will be used for 1 dress.

3 + 10 = 13

286/13 = 22

That is 22 dresses will be produced and 22 × 3 = 66 skirts will be produced.

Therefore, they should sew 66 skirts in order to maximise the profit.

How much money do I need to make to still have 1,000,000 left after 27.4% tax is removed?
Rama09 [41]

let's say the amount is "x", hmmm how much is 27.4% of "x"?   well

\bf \begin{array}{|c|ll} \cline{1-1} \textit{a\% of b}\\ \cline{1-1} \\ \left( \cfrac{a}{100} \right)\cdot b \\\\ \cline{1-1} \end{array}~\hspace{5em}\stackrel{\textit{27.4\% of x}}{\left( \cfrac{27.4}{100} \right)x}\implies 0.274x

so then, we know that x - 0.274x = 1000

\bf x - \stackrel{\textit{27.4\% of "x"}}{0.274x}=1000\implies 0.726x=1000\\\\\\ x = \cfrac{1000}{0.726}\implies x\approx 1377.41

Rachel has $80 in a savings account.The interest rate is 10%per year and is not compounded. How much interest will she earn in 1
erma4kov [3.2K]

Answer:

I = $ 8.00

Equation:

I = Prt

Step-by-step explanation:

First, converting R percent to r a decimal

r = R/100 = 10%/100 = 0.1 per year,

then, solving our equation

I = 80 × 0.1 × 1 = 8

I = $ 8.00

The simple interest accumulated

on a principal of $ 80.00

at a rate of 10% per year

for 1 years is $ 8.00.
