1) Find the area of the shape below. Round your answer to the nearest tenth 16 cm
andreyandreev [35.5K]

Answer:

151.3 cm²

Explanation:

The shape is composed of a semicircle and a rectangle

Area of the shape = area of the semicircle + area of the rectangle

Area of the shape = ½(πr²) + L*W

r = ½(16 - 6) = ½(10) = 5 cm

L = 16 cm

W = 7 cm

Plug in the values

Area of the shape = ½(π*5²) + 16*7

Area = 39.27 + 112

Area = 151.3 cm² (nearest tenth)

Which of the following is not a reason for Taiwan to consider itself independent and sovereign?
worty [1.4K]
First, let's check whether all the statements are correct?
No, one statement is false:
B. China has recognized Taiwan's independence

In fact, China continues to treat Taiwan as its province. Since the statement is not true, it can't also be a reason for something: this is the correct answer.

Why might some civilizations not have been part of the Neolithic Revolution?
butalik [34]
I’d say C.

A doesn’t make sense, they definitely could’ve domesticated animals in that time.

B doesn’t make sense either, they could’ve easily seen smoke signals, the sky wasn’t filled with them often.

C is just a weird answer. I doubt they were “passive observers” but probably the best answer to the question.

D doesn’t add up because they definitely needed agriculture/food surpluses. They were always hunting, they obviously ran out of food rather quickly.

So C is the answer.
