An artist is painting a large mural of flowers on the
Svetradugi [14.3K]

Answer:

The mural painting will be of 15.5 inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

We solve this question by proportions, using rules of three.

Scale of 4 inches = 1 inch

This means that 4 inches of real dimensions is one inch on the drawing.

How large will the mural painting of a rose bloom be if the actual height of the rose bloom is 61 inches?

The painting is a fourth of the real bloom(61 inches). So

61/4 = 15.5 inches

The mural painting will be of 15.5 inches.

Find the surface area of the prism.<br> 7 mm<br> 4 mm<br> 5 mm
dolphi86 [110]

Answer:

Since there are 2 sides, a front & back, and a top & bottom, you must find the surface area of each of those 3 surfaces and multiply by 2.

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula would be:

Top & Bottom - 5 × 4 (multiply by 2 for top AND bottom)

Front & Back - 5 × 7 (multiply by 2 for front AND back)

Sides - 4 × 7 (multiply by 2 for BOTH sides)

___________________________________________________

Once you find the 3 surface areas, add the areas all together for the total. (I did not show the answer because that is for you to do on your own.)

Ex. Top & Bottom + Front & Back + Sides

How do you solve y=2x+7; 3x-y=-9 using substitution method. Explain please!!
eduard
The y's value is given in the first equation. y=2x+7 . Now to solve, we will, plug it's value in the second equation.

3x-(2x+7)=-9\\ \\ 3x-2x-7=-9\\ \\ x=-9+7\\ x=-2\\

Now we have x's value, we will plug it's value in the first equation.(We can plug it in the second one too, but plugging it the first one will make it easier.)

x=-2\\ y=2x+7\\ y=2\cdot -2+7\\ y=-4+7\\ y=3
