Both experiments have was based on different phenomenon and techniques to prove same conclusion.

Hershey and chase conducted an experiment via bacteriophage which consists to DNA and protein coat that infects bacterial cells. He proved the DNA as genetic material by the help of transduction mechanism (Incorporation of Bacteriophage DNA in to bacterial cells). He used two group of Bacteriophage 1st group of Phage contain radioactively labelled proteins by Sulphur 32 isotope. While 2nd group contain Bacteriophage having P32 labelled DNA to infect Bacterial cells. After the infection, the Reaction tubes subjected to centrifuge and presence of radioactivity was determined in pellet and supernatant. The 1st group show radioactivity in supernatant while 2nd group shows racdioactivity in pellet or bacterial cells.

Griffiths just hypothesized a substance that can be transmitted from dead organism to alive organisms with the help of transformation phenomenon (uptake of Genetic material from the surrounding or environment). He conducted his experiments on <em>Streptococcus pneumonia avirulent and virulent species. </em>By mixing dead virulent species and live avirulent species and injecting into the mice results in the death of an experimental animal. While alone dead virulent species and live avirulent species fail to cause disease in mice.

The Easter Island was inhabited by people until relatively recently, and they lived on the island for some time, but there's nothing left from them apart from numerous large heads made out of stone. The people that lived on the island died, and that happened because of their irresponsible way of using the natural resources and destroying the environment. The people that lived on the Easter Island managed to use and destroy all natural resources that were enabling their survival there, putting themselves in a situation where they didn't had anything to eat, nor having material to build boats and move on another place. They were tuck there, isolated, started to kill and eat each other until the last one of them was left and died. This is a very nice example and lesson for the humans in the present that they should be very careful with the nature and the natural resources because there's always a line that after it is crossed there's no coming back.

An ecological succession includes an array of modifications in the biotic community with regard to the variations in the non-living elements like availability of sunlight, water, and other elements along with time, unless and until stability is attained by the ecosystem.  

When a whale carcass sinks to the floor of the ocean it develops an environment suitable for succession to take place as an ocean floor possess low biological activity prior of the sinking of the carcass into the ocean floor, and as the carcass sinks it achieves high biological activity. Various scavenger organisms and a range of decomposers can feed on the carcass. This will lead to an upsurge in the number of these feeding organisms. Hence, it can be stated that the whale has started the process of succession in the previously less active ocean floor.

The population changed the way it did because the mutation allowed the mutated animals to better survive in their environment compared to the normal species. Their size made them capable of getting food from higher branches that the normal species couldn't reach. THE ANSWER WAS ON GOOGLE
