A forty niner refers to a miner or the set of people who were involved in the California Gold Rush. They experienced harsh conditions and challenges such as a hostile journey with lots of storms, lack of basic amenities such as food, clothing and proper shelter.

Due to all the challenges faced by a forty niner it is imperative to say they would have the ability to persevere, be patient, tough, rugged and experienced conditions related to it.
