Example of irony :Lindsay realizes that the fictional crime scene resembles the real murder scenes.

Example of foreshadowing: Patterson uses foreshadowing in the prologue where both Berryman and Toy where establushed as killers long before the killing / murder of Jimmy.

Example of external conflict:  working conditions of policemen impact their

home lives; like Cross, they must often be away from spouses and children and

their professional obligations are frequently in conflict with their family obligations

Explanation: In this excerpt from the poem " The Turtle" by Mary Oliver the writer wants to emphasize on the beauty of nature by mentioning the hill, the sand and the turtle's skin. When reading these lines you have a positive feeling, something that does not match with the intentions of "strange appearance" (option 1) or "too bright"(option 3). Finally, the writer does not use any words related to movement that is why I think that option 2 is also incorrect.
