Though Georgians opposed British trade regulations, many hesitated to join the revolutionary movement that emerged in the American colonies in the early 1770s and resulted in the Revolutionary War (1775-83). The colony had prospered under royal rule, and many Georgians thought that they needed the protection of British troops against a possible Indian attack.

Answer:

It was believed that protests would turn violent.

Explanation:

In 1732, Georgia become the last British colony to be founded and established. The place was intended to be a refuge for debtors and those who were poor to make it in life. The loyalists thought they would pursue peaceful protests and violence would give rise to mob tyranny. They also held the general belief that violence would result in loss of the economic prosperity of the colony that was derived from the affiliation to the British. Thus, they had many loyalists.

What reasons did African Americans have for<br> wanting to leave the South?
pogonyaev

Answer:

They weren't treated like humans, but more as a commodity, something that can be used and abused without care. In the North, people were against slavery and working to end it, so naturally, you'd go somewhere safer, where you're actually seen as a human being with feelings and unalienable rights.

Who was the most important delegate and why was he so important?
dem82 [27]

Answer:

It has often been remarked that in the journey of life, the young rely on energy to counteract the experience of the old. And vice versa. What makes this Constitutional Convention remarkable is that the delegates were both young and experienced. The average age of the delegates was 42 and four of the most influential delegates—Alexander Hamilton, Edmund Randolph, Gouverneur Morris and James Madison—were in their thirties. Over half of the delegates graduated from College with nine from Princeton and six from British Universities. Even more significant was the continental political experience of the Framers: 8 signed the Declaration of Independence, 25 served in the Continental Congress, 15 helped draft the new State Constitutions between 1776 and 1780, and 40 served in the Confederation Congress between 1783 and 1787.
