Serjik [45]

Answer:

-13.5

Step-by-step explanation:

-4/3w=18

You would need to get the w by itself on one side so the easiest way to do so would be to divide both sides my -4/3.

This would give you an answer of w= -27/2 or w= -13.5

The sum of two numbers is 148. The larger number is two less than three times the smaller. What are the two numbers?
Lyrx [107]
Let
x--------->  the larger number
y---------> the smaller number

we know that
x+y=148------> equation 1
x=3y-2------> equation 2

substitute 2 in 1
[3y-2]+y=148--------> 4y=150---------> y=150/4------> y=37.5
x=3y-2----> x=3*37.5-2-----> x=110.5

the answer is
the larger number is 110.5
the smaller number is 37.5

Mrac [35]
No, no value for x will result in you getting the same amount of money
I.e. on the first day if x =2 you earn 33. on the second day you would've earned 44. Of course this may be wrong so best to double check

Given sinθ=- 3/5 and cscθ=-5/3 in quadrant III, find the value of other trigonometric functions using a Pythagorean Identity. Sh
Yakvenalex [24]
Let ABC be a triangle in the 3rd quadrant, right-angled at B.
 So, AB-> Perpendicular BC -> Base AC -> Hypotenuse.
Given: sinθ=-3/5 cosecθ=-5/3
 According to Pythagorean theorem, square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of square of the other two sides.
 Therefore in triangle ABC, 〖AC〗^2=〖AB〗^2+〖BC〗^2 ------
--(1)
 Since sinθ=Perpendicular/Hypotenuse ,
 AC=5 and AB=3
 Substituting these values in equation (1)

〖BC〗^2=〖AC〗^2-〖AB〗^2

 ă€–BC〗^2=5^2-3^2

 ă€–BC〗^2=25-9

 ă€–BC〗^2=16

 BC=4 units

 Since the triangle is in the 3rd quadrant, all trigonometric ratios, except tan
and cot are negative.
 So,cosθ=Base/Hypotenuse Cosθ=-4/5
 secθ=Hypotnuse/Base secθ=-5/4
 tanθ=Perpendicular/Base tanθ=3/4
 cotθ=Base/Perpendicular cotθ=4/3

4.8 + 2.2w − 1.4w + 2.4
Lostsunrise [7]

Answer:

7.2 + 0.8w

Step-by-step explanation:

combine like terms. Like terms have same variable with same power.

2.2w and (-1.4w) are like terms & 4.8 and 2.4 are like terms.

4.8 + 2.2w - 1.4w + 2.4 = 4.8 + 2.4 + 2.2w - 1.4w

                                      = 7.2 + 0.8w
