Answer:Sea Floor Spread is where the oceanic crust splits to form new crust on the earth forming ridges.

Continental slide is when tectonic plates slide past one another formed at the fault line causing earthquakes.

Transform boundaries can be explained by showing what happens after they slide almost like how after an earthquake the houses are destroyed and some have sunk into the grounds fault line.

Continental Crust is the crust of the earth that us humans and animals live on formed by divergent boundaries in the crust.

What is the role of oceans in the carbon cycle?
Maslowich

Answer:

Don't worry I'm here to help

Explanation:

The ocean plays an important part in the carbon cycle.

  • Overall, the ocean is called a carbon 'sink' because it takes up more carbon from the atmosphere than it gives up.
  • Photosynthesis by tiny marine plants (phytoplankton) in the sunlit surface waters turns the carbon into organic matter.

Glad I could help!!

Which of the following are NOT correct based on Darwin's theory of evolution?
Black_prince [1.1K]

Answer:

D variations in individuals are not heritable

Explanation:

Genetic variation in individuals is what drives evolution. In a population of individuals in an environment, with the adequate resources, overpopulation can occur. However, resources are usually a limiting factor for population growth: there is not sufficient food/shelter etc. for everyone to survive.

Some individuals are better suited to success in the environment. This is because of random variation in their DNA that has arisen that give them a selective advantage. This allows them to thrive, take advantage of the limited resources over other members of the population, and be more likely to survive to reproductive age. This is natural selection.

Because this variation is genetic (in the DNA), they can then pass it on to their offspring. Over time, this leads to evolution over time.
