so find the lines first
we notice taht they must be inequalities
the upward line is dotted so it  must have > or <
ok, hum the slope seems to be -3
the y intercept is 1 so the euaiton is y_-3x+1
the blank is the inequality
ok, test a point
(0,0) is in it
0_-3(0)+1
0_1
0<1
so it is y<-3x+1

secondn line
solid line so ≤ or ≥
slope of 2
y intercept of -1
y_2x-1
(0,0) is a possible solution
test it
0_2(0)-1
0_-1
0≥-1

so the equations are
y<-3x+1 and y≥2x-1



a. the system is y<-3x+1 and y≥2x-1

b. a solution is (0,0) because it is in the shades reigon which is the intersection of the 2 inequalities
