Answer:

The first and third is correct. The second and last are incorrect.

Explanation:

You can mostly tell in these kinds of things just by saying them out loud. And also see how good they are if you replace the colons with commas. If you say it aloud, the correct colon ones will have a bigger pause where the incorrect is shorter. The last one is tricky.

Simplified - Colons are used to introduce a second sentence clarifying the first.

BTW, you aren't aloud to post test questions on here, just sayin'.

Could you guys please write an essay about a boy in a concentration camp during WW2
nexus9112 [7]

Answer:

Use your notes to teach someone. Teaching someone from your notes is a great way to solidify the information in your own mind. Try using your notes to develop a short lesson and ask a friend to listen to you give it. Your friend could even do the same if they are in the same class as you, so you can both reap the benefits of this activity.

For example, you could create a brief PowerPoint using your notes, or write key talking points on index cards and use them to help you present the material.

Compare and contrast local state and federal correction faciltys your response should be 150 words
Marrrta [24]

Corrections is the term used to describe the care of those who have been detained, found guilty of a crime, or given a sentence for one. Institutional and community correctional populations can be divided into two broad types. There are four main objectives of corrections that are frequently advocated: rehabilitation, incapacitation, deterrence, and punishment. Over time, support for each of these objectives has fluctuated in both public and professional opinion.

Inmates who have been found guilty of breaking federal laws are housed in federal prisons, which are run by the federal government. State prisons, in contrast, are run by state governments and hold inmates who have been found guilty of breaking state laws. It stresses the vast range of strategies and combines the numerous overcrowding causes and effects.
