A bit of added detail:
I'd like to explain more about one item in the list above -- the policy of "brinkmanship" during the Eisenhower administration.
John Foster Dulles was Secretary of State under US President Dwight Eisenhower. Dulles held the office from 1953 to 1959. He wanted a change from what had been the "containment policy" which the US had followed during the Truman Administration, as recommended then by American diplomat George F. Kennan. Dulles felt the containment approach put the United States in a weak position, because it only was reactive, trying to contain communist aggression when it occurred.
Dulles sought to push America's policy in a more active direction; some have labeled his approach "brinkmanship." In an article in LIFE magazine in 1956, Dulles said, "The ability to get to the verge without getting into the war is the necessary art." He wasn't afraid to threaten massive retaliation against communist enemy countries as a way of intimidating them.
Answer:
The maps are the 2 dimensional representation of the earth's surface. This maps are often used to show the earth's surface. But in order to do so, there occurs distortion while projecting on a map. Some of the properties of the map that gets distorted are as follows-
(1) Distance
(2) Direction
(3) Shape
(4) Area
These distortion occurs because earth is spherical in shape. So, while projecting it gets distorted in the polar and the equatorial region mostly, as the pole appears to be larger in size and shape. The direction is also affected.
Due to this reasons, the maps are not so accurate in showing the earths surface, in comparison to a globe.

The core beliefs of Christianity is Jesus is the Son of God and Jesus is the Messiah.
Explanation:
Christianity is one of the world religions and there are a few core beliefs in Christianity. Christians believe that the words of God are true and there is no fallacy in the Holy Gospel. • Jesus is the Son of God and is equal with God (John 1:1, 49; Luke 22:70; Mark 3:11; Philippians 2:5–11). This is the core belief of all the Christians. They believe in monotheism.
He came from the Holy father and he is the son of God who descended to relieve people from their sins as how a pregnant mother does all work inn order to give birth to a new life similarly Lord Jesus purifies the heart of the sinners when the individual surrenders his sins.
