Answer:

D. The point of view of the author.

Explanation:

For one, it is in first person. This means that the narrator is the author. First person uses words such as "I" "me" and "mine".

Ex. I looked around the garden full of happiness. I was finally finished planting my mother's plants.

Where as 2nd person uses words such as "You". Meaning the narrator is speaking to YOU (the reader) (usually used in cookbooks)

Ex. You will need 1/2 of sugar.

Lastly 3rd person is when the narrator is talking from someone else's point of view.

Ex. Lilly look around the garden, smiling. She was proud of herself for she had finally finished planting her mother's flowers.

HOPE THIS HELPS!! :)

Is the underlined word(s) a participle or a verb? Read the sentence. Where is that (banging) -underlined word-noise coming from?
jek_recluse [69]

The answer is definitely a Verb

i mean think about it, "banging" is a loud sound and the main meaning of verb is something like hear, become, happen, or a action. Plus, the sentence says "where is that "banging"  noise coming from"

So obviously, its something they heard, IF it were a noun it would probably be a place, thing, person.

But overall, the answer is Verb. Hope this answers your question!
