How was serfdom similar to African slavery? How was it different?

Social Studies

Answer:A slave is property, bound to work as his/her owner sees fit. A slave has no legally protected rights of ownership. Some slaves in some sense ‘owned’ property, or even money, but this was always at the owner’s discretion, and legally it all belonged to the owner really. Serfdom, on the other hand, was an implicit contractual relationship. The serf owed both labour and rent, usually in kind — serfdom is typical of an economy with little use of money. In return, the lord owed protection and justice. These were rough times, and a common labourer without a lord would not be able to prevent marauders seizing his land.

Dovator [93]

Answer:

A group picnic

Explanation:

In the question above, since the local employees have already met the physiological and safety needs then based on the "hierarchy of needs theory" the next motivation level would be met via the promise of a particular "group picnic" i.e, via "love and belonging needs".

The hierarchy of needs theory was conceptualized by a psychologist named Abraham Maslow. He defined the "love and belonging needs" as the process that involves "range of intimacy" between different people and circumscribe empathy, compassion, caring, being part of a specific community, feelings of being approved or accepted vs. disapproved or rejected by a community, etc.

4. Sovereignty: This is the most significant component of state and it is this trademark recognizes state from comparable other social associations. A state must have a sovereign control which is free both from outer and inward control. A state is inside preeminent if a huge main part of its populace energetically complies with its laws and it is fit for dispensing discipline on the individuals who don't obey them.

  • Populace and domain establish the physical premise of the State while government and power comprise its lawful premise or political premise.
