Davey clearly acted defensively when he was told that he is using the Internet too much. He was showing low emotional intelligen

ce by not understanding or not directing his behavior in a constructive manner. To respond more constructively, he should understand the negative emotion and avoid a counterproductive response by reframing the situation. In this case, Davey can mentally reframe the situation to direct his comments and behavior appropriately. Davey's best possible reframing statement should begin in what way?

Answer:

In this situation Davey could start his statement by saying:

Ok, I understand this argument bothers me because it would break my habits.

Explanation:

All right, to understand this case we need to observe everything. Davey has developed a dependency or in other words an addiction. To change it we need to make him understand his dependency has changed his life and impacted it negatively. Only then he will understand and accept it, he needs to accept it before making a progress. Then, he will be able to recognize its condition. Then, he needs to understand that the negative emotions he feels are the obstacle to his progress and the break of that habit. So he needs to start his statement by accepting his condition. Then he will reframe it and build from it.

The "elastic clause" in the U.S. Constitution?
Alex787 [66]

Answer:

The elastic clause of the constitution allows the government to propose or formulate laws to deal with modern issues that were not envisaged by the founding fathers.

Explanation:

The elastic clause of the constitution allows the government to propose or formulate laws to deal with modern issues that were not envisaged by the founding fathers.

Congress can make any law it needs to, in order to carry out its enumerated powers. This 'necessary and proper' clause, then, allows the government to stretch beyond its literal description; that's why the clause is often nicknamed the elastic clause since its flexibility allows the government to change and grow over time.
