Image used in answering the question is attached below.

Answer: 21.97gallons

Step-by-step explanation:

Calculating the total area to be painted :

The exterior four walls :

The exterior walls have rectangular front, back and two sides.

Area of rectangular front and back :

Length(L) = 32ft

Width(W) = 20ft

Area of rectangle = L × W

32 × 20 = 640ft^2

Front and back = 640ft^2 × 2 = 1280ft^2

Area of rectangular sides :

Length = 84

Width = 20

2 × (84 × 20) = 3360ft^2

Area of triangular front and back :

Area of triangle = (0.5) × base × height

Base = 38ft, height = 12ft

(0.5) × 38 × 12 = 228ft^2

Two triangles = 2 × 228 = 456ft^2

Total area to be painted :

(456 + 3360 + 1280)ft^2 = 5096ft^2

Gallons required = total area to be painted / area covered by one gallon

5096ft^2/232ft^2 = 21.965gallons

Isabella has already baked 4 pies, and she can bake 2 pies with each additional cup of sugar she buys. Write an equation that sh
Alla [95]

Answer:

It would be y = 2x+4

Step-by-step explanation:

This is because Isabella has started with 4 baked pies and is gaining additional pies with in amounts of 2 pies.

With this, 4 would be by itself and 2 would be attached to the variable x for the unknown amount of additional pies.

Lastly, you would have this all equaling y, as y is the total amount of pies.

7x+1 + 4x-3 = 42
11x-2=42
11x=44
Divide by 11 on both sides which equals:
x=4
To find the length of DE just plug 4 in for x into the equation:
(7x+1) —> 7(4)+1= 29
29 is the length of DE
Then plug in 4 to EF’s equation:
(4x-3) —> 4(4)-3=13
13 is the length for EF
29+13= 42
So in the end, your answer will be 29.
