Explanation:

This adds miles to the journey of an item of food and therefore means more transport costs and more pollution. ... For example, some foods do not grow easily in the UK and need heated greenhouses. This means the food produced locally may have a larger carbon footprint than that grown in a warmer climate.

Answer:

Hey!

Importing food from abroad (i.e. from South Africa) adds to the size of a carbon footprint because the amount of fuels used, (oil, petrol, diesel, kerosene and many more), increases with the distance travelled...

And more fuels that are burnt in the preparation of the product, transporting the product to the distribution centres, shipping and deliveries results in the increase the amount of CO2 and other greenhouse gases which eventually, in the long term, add to Climate Change/Global Warming...

Explanation:

haha I'm doing Geography for GCSE's so I guess I'm quite good at it!

HOPE THIS HELPS!!

zhannawk [14.2K]

The changing ocean currents lead to climate cooling by bringing cooler breezes to places with higher climates. The cool breezes push the warm air out and leads to the drop of temperature
