A Revolução Industrial impactou o mundo todo devido às mudanças urbanas e tecnológicas que vieram com ela. Uma dessas mudanças é a industrialização, que é um fenômeno que proporcionou diversas mudanças espaciais e sociais de espaços geográficos e comunidades, já que com a construção de indústrias houve uma forte urbanização e o êxodo rural, que ocorreu com as pessoas em buscas de melhores oportunidades de trabalho e consequentemente acelerou a construção de cidades.

A industrialização é responsável pelas mudanças nas maneiras com que o ser humano se relaciona com o meio ambiente e com a forma com que explora e utiliza os recursos naturais.
