Answer and Explanation:

We need to create a nucleotide sequence, but first what are DNA nucleotides? They are the monomers of the entire nucleic acid strand of DNA.

DNA nucleotides have 4 bases: adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine (G), and cytosine (C). When pairing bases, A and T always go together and G and C always go together. (An interesting trick to remember this is Apple in the Tree and Car in the Garage.)

To create our own, we can draw up any combination of A's, T's, C's, and G's. I'm just going to arbitrarily write the following:

A A G C T T C G A T C G A C C

We need to pair these up by replicating it (remember A with T and G with C). The new strand will become:

T T C G A A G C T A G C T G G

Finally, we need to transcribe this back into the original format because replication is creating the same copy of something:

A A G C T T C G A T C G A C C

The bulky shape of fat cells make them ideal for performing which of the following functions of connective tissue?
Hatshy [7]

The bulky shape of fat cells makes them ideal for filling spaces of connective tissue. The fat cells represent a type of connective tissue.

The adipose tissue is a type of connective tissue composed of fat cells known as adipocytes.

These cells (adipocytes) are specialized cells that store fats, which can be produced by the human body or obtained from the diet.

The shape of the adipocytes can be spherical, oval, polyhedral (as part of adipose connective tissue), etc.

In mitosis the spindle fibers connect to what
IrinaK [193]

Answer:

During mitosis, the spindle fibers are called the mitotic spindle. ... Long protein fibers called microtubules extend from the centrioles in all possible directions, forming what is called a spindle. Some of the microtubules attach the poles to the chromosomes by connecting to protein complexes called kinetochores.

Spindle fibers move chromosomes during cell division by attaching to chromosome arms and centromeres. A centromere is the specific region of a chromosome where duplicates are linked. Identical, joined copies of a single chromosome are known as sister chromatids

The first commercial application of genetic engineering was the use of bacteria to make insulin, a medicine needed by diabetics.
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

The question is incomplete, it lacks options. The options are:

A) It has made the demand for insulin decrease.

B) It has made the incidence of diabetes decrease.

C) It has made it easier for diabetics to inject themselves with insulin.

D) It has made insulin cheaper and more readily available.

The answer is D

Explanation:

Genetic engineering is a biotechnological procedure that involves the transfer of genes from one organism to another using biotechnology. In this case, bacteria cells are said to be genetically modified because their genetic content is tampered with and the genes that produces the insulin protein in humans is added into their genome. Hence, they transcribe and translate this gene to produce the protein-insulin.

Diabetic patients cannot produce this insulin in their system. Hence, the insulin produced from this genetically modified bacteria cells can be administered to diabetics via injection. This genetically modified way of producing insulin has proven to be a far better option to the previous practice of slaughtering cattles and pigs to obtain this protein because the GM method allows insulin to be produced in large amounts making it available and cheaper to diabetics.
