Find the surface area of the rectangular prism above using its net below

Mathematics

never [62]3 years ago

Answer:

82cm²

See explanation below

Step-by-step explanation:

The question is incomplete without the diagram of the rectangular prism and it's dimensions. We are to determine the surface area of the rectangular prism using it's net.

I would show you how to determine it using diagram below.

Find attached the diagram used in solving the question as well as the net obtained from the diagram.

Solution:

A net diagram is a 2-dimensional representation of a 3-dimensional solid in which case the solid is unfolded.

The net gives the total area of the sides and faces of the 3 dimensional figure.

The units of the diagram used are all in cm.

Using net diagram:

Area A = Area B = length × height = hl

Area C = Area D = width × length= wl

Area E = Area of F = height × width = hw

surface area of the rectangular prism = 2(wl + hl + hw)

w = width = 2cm

l= length = 7cm

h = height = 3cm

Insert the values in the formular

A = 2(2×7 + 3×7 + 2×3)

A = 2(14+21+6)

A = 2(41) = 82cm²

Surface area of the rectangular prism = 82cm²

wariber [46]

Answer:

All raisins would be moving away from you at the same speed, without any dependence

Step-by-step explanation:

As you can see in the graph it is irrelevant if they are on one side or another of the cake since you would see everyone moving away from you at the same speed since the cake must undoubtedly expand to establish a distance of 3cm between the raisins .

Note: It should be understood that the dough should be uniform and the ideal cooking conditions for a standard cake

PLZ HELP ASAP! URGENT! Plz help me solve without using algebra plz, our teacher doesn’t allow us to use it. TYSM!!!
Cloud [144]
Your teacher is right.  There is no reason to use algebra, which is misused in many problems as a shortcut, and slows the actual learning of math skills.

Here, the solution is as follows:
1. Find the volume of water in tank X.
2. Find the TOTAL base area of the three tanks, imagine that you have a larger tank with the same base area as the sum of the three.
3. Find the height of water in the new tank.

1. Find the volume of water in tank X.
Volume = 32*20*39.5=25280 cm^3

2. Find the TOTAL base area of the three tanks, imagine that you have a larger tank with the same base area as the sum of the three.
Total base area = 32*20 + 30*16 + 20*8 = 640+480+160 = 1280 cm^2

3. Find the height of water in the new tank
Height = Volume / base area
= 25280 / 1280
= 19.75 cm

On average 20% of the gadgets produced by a factory are mildly defective. I buy a box of 100 gadgets. Assume this is a random sa
Softa [21]

Answer:

a) P(A)=P(x

b) P(A)\approx 0.085

Step-by-step explanation:

The proportion of defective gadgets for this factory is p=0.2.

If a sample of n=100 gadgets is taken from the production, we can model the amount of defectives gadgets in this sample as a binomial random variable.

The probability of having k defectives in the sample can be written as:

P(x=k)=\binom{100}{k}p^k(1-p)^{100-k}

Then, we can write the expression to calculate the probabilities of A: "less than 15 gadgets are mildly defective":

P(A)=P(x

If we approximate this binomial distribtution to a normal distribution, we can calculate the new parameters as:

\mu=np=100*0.2=20\\\\\sigma=\sqrt{np(1-p)}=\sqrt{100*0.2*0.8}=\sqrt{16}=4

The continuity factor is applied for the change from a discrete distribution (binomial) to a continous distribution (normal). Then we have:

P(A)=P(X

Now, we can calculate the probability P(A):

z=(X-\mu)/\sigma=(14.5-20)/4=-5.5/4=-1.375\\\\P(A)=P(X
