Dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying with the inverse.

So

\frac{ \frac{7}{9} }{ \frac{5}{6} }  =  \frac{7}{9} × \frac{6}{5}

To multiply fractions, just multiply both tops with each other and both bottoms with each other. Then see if you can make the terms smaller by dividing both the top and the bottom by the same number.

So

\frac{7}{9} ×\frac{6}{5} = \frac{7* 6}{9*5} = \frac{42}{45} = \frac{42/3}{45/3} = \frac{14}{15}

Question 2<br> Find the volume.
garik1379 [7]

Answer:

Volume of cone = 686π/3 or 718.67 in³

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the following data;

Radius, r = 7 in

Height, h = 14 inches

From the diagram, we can see that the object is a cone

To find the volume of a cone;

Mathematically, the volume of a cone is given by the formula;

V = \frac{1}{3} \pi r^{2}h

Where;

V is the volume of the cone.

r is the radius of the base of the cone.

h is the height of the cone.

Substituting into the equation, we have;

Volume = \frac{1}{3} * \frac {22}{7} *7^{2}*14

Volume = \frac{1}{3} * 22 * 7 * 14

Volume = \frac{1}{3} * 2156

Volume = 718.67

Volume of cone = 718.67 in³ or 686π/3 in³

A plumber charged $18 for 15 minutes of work. If the plumbers fees remain at a constant rate, how much would the plumber charge
Alona [7]
He’d charge $72 for an hour of work. Because, 60 minutes (1 hr.) divided by 15 = 4, so the price for 15 mins.*$18=$72

A researcher wants to estimate the mean number of hours per day that elementary aged school children spend watching TV in order
Mashutka [201]

Answer:

a)  The confidence interval (1.93, 4.25) means that there is 95% confidence that the population mean for the number of hours per day spent watching TV is within 1.93 and 4.25.

b) H0: μ=2.5. The null hypothesis failed to be rejected.

H0: μ=1.2. The null hypothesis is rejected.

Step-by-step explanation:

a)  The confidence interval (1.93, 4.25) means that there is 95% confidence that the population mean for the number of hours per day spent watching TV is within 1.93 and 4.25.

b) If a two-sided hypthesis test is performed at a significance level of 0.05 with a null hypothesis H0: μ=2.5, the result would be that the null hypothesis failed to be rejected.

This is because we have the information of the 95% confidence level, that has the same level of significance and is also two-sided, includes the value 2.5. The confidence interval is, in this case, equivalent to the acceptance region for the hypothesis test, so the null hypothesis failed to be rejected.

If the null hypothesis mean would have fallen outside of the limits of the confidecence interval, the null hypothesis would have been rejected.

This is the case of H0: μ=1.2, which lies outside the confidence interval (in the rejection region). Then, the null hypothesis is rejected.
