I'm glad you told me about your plans before going through with them. We have always been each other's confidant and, even though we live apart and do not meet as often now, I'm happy to see nothing has changed our relationship.
Not only have we always been each other's confidant, we have also been brutally honest to each other all our lives. Maybe other people wouldn't be able to understand such straightforward opinions as the ones we give, but we know we do it out of love and concern. That is why I will write my opinion about what you told in the most direct and simple way I can. It is important that we maintain that honesty.
I do not think you have made the right decision for yourself. I do, however, understand and value your dreams. I know you've always wished to open your own business, and I believe you will do it soon. But not right now. Even though we do pay a price for it, knowledge is, in a way, priceless. What you will gain in knowledge by not quitting school makes it worth the wait. You will go in to business wiser, more mature, more prepared. I know the theory is different from real life, but I believe both to be important. And you do not have to choose one or the other. You can have both, theory and real-life experience, if you just wait a bit longer.
