How would you describe the French knight’s view of life and death?

In France, Chilvary had the strongest tradition in all of Medieval Europe, and French Knights were particularly serious about their codes.

Explanation:

For them, life was about serving their lord, their manor, and fighting with honor in battle. They also had a romantic view about women, they saw them as "damsels in distress" that needed to be protected and were to be adored.

For them, death was a part of life as long as it came in a desired manner: ideally in battle, against a strong opponent, after giving it all, or of old age. Knights despised deaths that came from sudden events like an arrow shot from afar, or an infectious disease.
