What are two reasons the United States cut all three ties with Castro‘s Cuba in 1961?
Maksim231197 [3]
The above event is also known as the Cuban Missile crisis, which occured in 1962.

The reason why US cut the tie:

1) Castro wanted to built a communist government with USSR’s back which was against US’s Ideology of captialism.

2) USSR implanted missiles in Cuba after Castro overthrown the original government to replace it with communist government. This greatly threaten US’s safety as Cuba is very close to the Western Europe and US.

Therefore ties were cut between Cuba and US.

Hope it helps!

How is the area of the river deposits shown on the map? [Egypt and the Nile delta worksheet]
creativ13 [48]

The area of Egypt and the Nile delta comprises one of the largest deltas in the world, extended along 240 kilometres of the Mediterranean shore. The delta starts a bit more to the North from the Egyptian capital, El Cairo.

It is an extremely rich agricultural area, which constituted the basis of the ancient civilizations established in the region. It has been exploited for thousand of years, due to the particularity that it used to flood anually, and the sediments left became high quality fertilizers for crops. Nowadays it has not flooded anymore since the construction of the Aswan Dam.

About 39 million people inhabit this area, and the largest city is Alexandria. Even though this region is economically quite important, it also registers  most data-poor regions with respect to sea level rise

The philosophy of rugged individualism vs supporting the disadvantaged means that conservatives and liberals differ in their vie
Vadim26 [7]

B. An individual's rights and responsibilities

Rugged individualism is the belief that individuals should work for their own success. This belief means people are responsible for their own economic well being and being able to take care of their family. Social welfare is the concept that a person can accept help from the community. This thinking allows a person to accept help from the government and that individuals would expect the government does help in certain cases and protections.

These two concepts came to a head in the US Great Depression. Republicans tended to argue for rugged individualism and the belief that people would be better off if they provided for themselves. This conservative thinking encouraged people to find innovate and find ways to make money during the Great Depression. Those supporting social welfare wanted the government to help support them. This thinking supports the idea that some services and responsibilities should be the burden of the whole community not just individualism in the community.

bazaltina [42]

Answer:

Not long ago, citizens in some states had to pay a fee to vote in a national election. This fee was called a poll tax. On January 23, 1964, the United States ratified the 24th Amendment to the Constitution, prohibiting any poll tax in elections for federal officials. When the 24th Amendment was ratified in 1964, five states still retained a poll tax: Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Texas and Virginia.
