Answer:

Divide the figure into the upper trapezoid and the lower triangle:

=> area of figure = trapezoid area + triangle area

                           = (base1 + base2) x height/2 + base x height/2

                           = (4 + 4 + 4) x 2/2 + (4 + 4) x 5.75/2

                           = 12 + 23

                           = 35 (cm2)

Hope this helps!

ANSWER:
First divide the figure in a trapezium and triangle.
Area of figure = area of trapezium and area of triangle.
Area of figure= 1/2*(sum of parallel sides)+(1/2*base*height)
Area of figure=1/2(4+8)*2+1/2*8*5.75
Area of figure=12+4*5.75
Area of figure=12+23
Area of figure=35cm sq.
Hope it helps!

PLEASE ANSWER CORRECTLY
inn [45]

Answer:

$76.32

Step-by-step explanation:

First, add up all the costs for everything:

17 + 30 + 25 = 72

Now, we need to add the sales tax. To do this we multiply 72 by 1.06. This is because the sales tax is 6% (the decimal form of 6% is 0.06), and we add it on to the 100% cost (which is 1 in decimal form).

(72)(1.06) = 76.32

Therefore the total cost of everything Walter bought plus the tax rate is $76.32.

The regular selling price of a pair of men's jeans is $39.99. The markdown rate is 20%. What is the sale price of the jeans to t
Nastasia [14]
Take the original price, multiply it by 20% (you have to move the decimal place two to the left, so it becomes .2), then subtract the answer from the original price.
39.99*.2= $7.998
39.99-7.998= $31.99
If you wanted to, you could also round the $7.998 to $8.00. Your answer would be the same.

An experiment was conducted to test the effect of a new cholesterol medicine. Fifteen people were treated with medicine X and 15
gtnhenbr [62]

Considering the hypothesis tested and the p-value of the test, the correct option is given by:

There is sufficient evidence that there is a difference in mean cholesterol level when using medicine X and medicine Y.

What are the hypothesis tested?

At the null hypothesis, it is tested if there is no difference between the cholesterol levels, that is:

H₀:Hₓ-H

At the alternative hypothesis it is tested if there is a difference, hence:

H₀:Hₓ-H≠0

The p-value is of 0.003 < 0.01, hence we reject the null hypothesis and conclude that there has was a difference, hence the correct option is given by:

There is sufficient evidence that there is a difference in mean cholesterol level when using medicine X and medicine Y.
