2 sundaes at 4.85 each.....estimation = 2(5) = $ 10
5 banana splits at 5.99 each...estimation = 5(6) = $30
3 fizzies at 2.95 each...estimation = 3(3) = $ 9
4 mocktails at 3.50 each...estimation = 4(4) = $ 16
totaling $ 65........for 7 people = 65/7 = 9.28 rounds to 9

so the 9 in Millie's calculation represents how much each person will have to pay
