Answer:

       b1 + b2

A = ------------- * h

             2

Step-by-step explanation:

What you have here is fine as is, except that the "1/2" should be enclosed in parentheses:

A = (1/2)(b1 + b2)h.

Alternatively, write:

       b1 + b2

A = ------------- * h

             2

Classify each sequence as arithmetic, geometric, or neither by dragging it into the correct box.
garik1379 [7]

The sequences are classified, respectively, as:

Geometric, Arithmetic, Neither.

<h3>What is a geometric sequence?</h3>

A geometric sequence is a sequence in which the result of the division of consecutive terms is always the same, called common ratio q.

In the first sequence, we have that:

q = \frac{45}{15} = \frac{15}{5} = \frac{5}{\frac{5}{3}} = \frac{\frac{5}{3}}{\frac{5}{9}} = 3

Hence it is a geometric sequence.

<h3>What is an arithmetic sequence?</h3>

In an arithmetic sequence, the difference between consecutive terms is always the same, called common difference d.

In the second sequence, we have that:

d = -4 - 1 = 1 - 6 = 6 - 11 = 11 - 16 = -5

Hence it is an arithmetic sequence.

<h3>What about the third sequence?</h3>

\frac{4}{3} \neq \frac{3}{2}, 1 - \frac{1}{2} \neq 2 - 1

Hence it is neither arithmetic nor geometric.

7x-12y=-32 what is the equation of a line parallel to the line shown
Katena32 [7]
7x - 12y = -32
-12y = -7x - 32
y = 7/12x + 8/3...slope here is 7/12. A parallel line will have the same slope.

so ur parallel line will be : y = 7/12x + b....and b can be anything but 8/3...it cannot be 8/3 because then there would be infinite solutions and parallel line do not have infinite solutions, they have no solutions because they do not intersect.

This week, 967 people went to the beach. Last week, 1,189 people went to the beach. The number of people who went to the beach f
zhenek [66]

Answer:

Less than 25%

Step-by-step explanation:

1189 divided by 967 is 1.229576008...

1.229576008... multiplied by 967 is 1189

This number, 1.229576008..., is a multiplier

To be exact it increases by 22.9576008...%

That is less than 25%
