Answer:

$1,260

Explanation:

$18 is the rate of pay for 40 hrs/week

$27 is the rate of pay for the extra 10 hrs/week (18 + 9)

A total of 100 hours for the pay period, 80 of those are 18/hr, 20 are 27/hr

40(18) + 20(27) = 720 + 540 = 1260

A bank has excess reserves of $1 million and makes a new loan for $500,000. If the bank faces a 10% required reserve ratio, by h
nataly862011 [7]

Answer:

With a 10% required reserve ratio, the money supply could increase by $500,000/r when the loan is made.

This equals $5,000,000 ($500,000/0.1) where r = 10%

Explanation:

a) The money multiplier is the amount of money that banks generate with each dollar of reserves. Reserves is the amount of deposits that the Federal Reserve requires banks to hold and not lend.

b) The formula for the money multiplier is simply 1/r, where r = the reserve ratio.

c) The reserve ratio, also known as Cash Reserve Ratio, is the percentage of deposits which commercial banks are required to keep as cash according to the directions of the central bank.  It is used by the central bank to control the supply of money in the economy.  When the central bank wants to increase the money supply, it lowers the reserve ratio and vice versa.

d) According to wikipedia.com, "the money supply is the total value of money available in an economy at a point of time."  It is usually defined as currency in circulation plus demand deposits.  It is the demand deposits that give commercial banks the ability to create money using the reserve ratio.

What role does spirituality and/or faith play in your life? How can you incorporate mindfulness techniques into your day?
Sergio039 [100]

Spirituality acknowledges that there is more to life than what you do on a daily basis. It can help you realise your life's bigger purpose and free you from dependence on material possessions. Meditation, spiritual reading, practising gratitude, spending time in nature, and mindful breathing are some of the attentive strategies I employ to become more spiritual and enhance my lifestyle.

Spirituality is a broad concept that allows for a range of opinions. It typically involves a search for meaning in life and, generally, a sense of connectedness to something bigger than ourselves. Whether our spiritual activities are based in religion, nature, art, or something else entirely, spirituality may be a guiding force because it gives us a reason for being. This guiding light improves our compassion for ourselves and others while also assisting us in achieving serenity, which is one of the many ways it promotes our mental health.

Volunteerism, social duty, optimism, helping others, connection with others, feeling like you belong/are a part of a community, and love of oneself/reason to take care of oneself are a few examples.

Additionally, spirituality can be employed as a coping mechanism for uncertainty or transition. Everyone should make an effort to meditate for at least a minute in the morning. Be open to signs from the universe at all times.
