Through what geographic regions did the Lewis and Clark expedition travel? What did they find?
kogti [31]

Answer:

Lewis and Clark traveled on the Missouri River until they found themselves at the Rocky Mountains (the canoes didn't work to well once they got there)... they traveled through Wyoming, Montana, and Washington till they reached the Pacific Ocean shore.

They found lots of unique and interesting fauna and flora of which they took samples and sent back to Washington D.C. They did not find a direct waterway from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific (which was one of their goals), but the expedition was a success overall.

Which graph represents the function r(x) = |x – 2| – 1
Dafna1 [17]

Answer:

On a coordinate plane, an absolute value graph has a vertex at (2, -1).

Explanation:

Let g(x) = |x|, g(x) is a parent absolute value, whose vertex is located at x=0. Then, r(x) is g(x) translated horizontally two units in the +x direction and vertically one unit in the -y direction. Hence, the vertex is located at (2, -1).

Lastly, we include a graph for r(x) below.

What were the provisions and weakness of the treat of versailes and the opposition to it?
brilliants [131]

Answer:

  • The  lack of an army within the League of Nations, making it impossible for the League to have authority to follow through on decisions made; Italy and Japan's resentfulness of the treaty, as they wanted a larger reward for fighting with the Allied Powers.
  • The Germans hated the Treaty of Versailles because they had not been allowed to take part in the Conference.
  • The Germans hated Clause 231 (which blamed Germany for causing the war), because it was the excuse for all the harsh clauses of the Treaty, and because they thought Russia was to blame for starting the war.

Explanation:

  • The main purpose of the Treaty of Versailes was to punish the Germans and to meet the goals of the nations of the allied power as the allied power believed Germany caused the whole war.
  • The treaty of versailes related to establishing peace conditions with the Germans. The major things imposed in the treaty were to disarm Germany and  make the Germans pay for the destruction caused by the World War.
