28 oranges!!!!
basically to start off we know 8 oranges = $1.50 so we have to find the rate. By dividing $1.50 by two you then figure out 4 oranges
= $0.75. So now by adding 1.50 up 2 times you get $4.50 which would equal 24 oranges BUT you have to find how much oranges if you can buy with $5.25 so you add 0.75, which you figured out means 4 oranges in the beginning sooooooo you add 4 oranges and 0.75 cents to the amount from before ($4.50 and 24 oranges) which gives you 28 oranges.
28 oranges = $5.25
(i am srry tho, i don't know what parameters means. i've never learned it before but i hope this maybe helps)

An open box is made from a 40-cm by 80-cm piece of tin by cutting a square from each corner and folding up the edges. The area
tamaranim1 [39]

Answer:

x=2

Step-by-step explanation:

let x be the edge length of the square removed at each corner;

Hence the area of the base is:

A_b(80-2x)(40-2x)=2736\\\\3200-160x-80x+4x^2=2736\\\\\\4x^2-240x+3200=2736\\\\4x^2-240x+464=0\\\\x^2-60x+116=0

Using the quadratic equation formula, or completing the square, x, or length of a side of one of the squares is x=2 or x=58

#Given that x=58 is larger than 40cm, the side length is x=2

bruce is playing with a set of base-ten blocks. he has 65 ten-blocks and 7 one-blocks. what is the value of his blocks
Oksi-84 [34.3K]
The 65 tens blocks can be solved by doing 65x10 which is 650.  the 7 ones blocks can be solved by 1x7  which is 7 so you then add up 650 and 7 to get a grand total of 657
