Answer:

A, C, D, E

Step-by-step explanation:

We can make an equation with the information given using slope-intercept form [ y = mx + b ]. m = slope and b = y-intercept.

y = 4/7x - 9

Let's check to see which points are on the line.

(14, -1)

-1 = 4/7(14) - 9

-1 = 8 - 9

-1 = -1

TRUE

(1, 9)

9 = 4/7(1) - 9

9 = 4/7 - 9

9 = -8 3/7

FALSE

(0, -9)

-9 = 4/7(0) - 9

-9 = -9

TRUE

(21, 3)

3 = 4/7(21) - 9

3 = 12 - 9

3 = 3

TRUE

(7, -5)

-5 = 4/7(7) - 9

-5 = 4 - 9

-5 = -5

TRUE

(4, 7)

7 = 4/7(4) - 9

7 = 16/7 - 9

7 = -47/7

FALSE

How many solutions does 2x+2-3x=3x-4
DerKrebs [107]

Answer:

1 solution (x = 1.5)

Step-by-step explanation:

2x + 2 - 3x = 3x - 4

First, combine like terms

2 - x = 3x - 4

Add 4 to both sides

6 - x = 3x

Add x to both sides

6 = 4x

Divide both sides by 4

1.5 = x

What’s the proof for this
KIM [24]
Well... Basically, you should prove this by SSS property(side-side-side). It's fair to say that the length of a side is equal to itself so The line that cuts through the rectangle is a side for both rectangles. Thus because of the given, all the sides of the triangles are equal to one another. This is a very important trick for geometry(I remember using it a lot).
Hope this helps!
