Why do we need to eat
prisoha [69]
A food is something that provides nutrients. Nutrients are substances that provide: energy for activity, growth, and all functions of the body such as breathing, digesting food, and keeping warm; materials for the growth and repair of the body, and for keeping the immune system healthy. Why do scientists consider vestigial structures (like a human appendix) evidence for evolution?
qaws [65]

Answer:

vestigial structures are considered evidence because scientists believe they are structures that were once used by a species ancestors but are not longer needed. these structures do not impair the organism in any way, so there is no need for evolution to get rid of them. for example, the human appendix is considered a vestigial structure.
