The ideals of a Republican self government is portrayed in the workings of the Congress via the Representatives. The framers have undoubtedly created a series of differences between a Representative and a Senator.

Further Explanation:

The House of Representative is basically the chamber that is the lowermost in Congress. The State's population plays an integral role in representation as the number of representatives depends on the population i.e, the greater the population, the more the representation. The members have to face reelection after every two years owing to their limited tenure of a two year term. While the Congress's upper chamber is the Senate. In the case of the Senate, no matter what the population is, the number of representatives remain fixed in the sense that there are two representatives from every state. The total number of senators are 100. Unlike the House of Representatives, the Senators serve for a total term of six years and one-third of them face reelection after two years.

When it comes to matters such as debate procedures, they are formal in the House of representatives unlike the Senate. The Senate and the House of Representatives are vested with varied powers (both implicit and explicit) as specified in the Constitution. While the Senate needs unanimous consent, the House of Representatives doesn't.

The correct answer is D) The government helps ensure that both individuals and businesses have rights.

According to Roosevelt, the formal government is connected to a business in that the government helps ensure that both individuals and businesses have rights.

That is why it was so important from the very beginning of his administration to create the kinds of programs that would alleviate the harsh economic conditions lived by the American people after the stock market crash that originated the Great Depression of October 29, 1929.

US President Franklin D. Roosevelt created the New Deal, a series of programs and legislations aimed to help poor people and millions of Americans that had lost their jobs after the beginning of the Great Depression.

How did John Brown's raid at Harper's Ferry further increase sectionalism?
Grace [21]

Answer:

C. Southerners feared that abolitionists and freed slaves were a danger to them.

Explanation:

John Brown was a famous American abolitionist born on the 9th of May, 1800 in Torrington, Connecticut, United States of America. He had a strong belief and conviction that the only way to end American slavery was through violence since open sermons, speeches, moral pleas and petitions in the past had failed.

This raid at Harper's Ferry was on the arsenal of the United States of America in Virginia and it took place for 3 days, from the 16th of October, 1859 to 18th of October, 1859.

Hence, John Brown's raid at Harper's Ferry further increase sectionalism because southerners feared him and freed slaves were a danger to them.
