They used realism to reveal the individual personality of their subjects. By the later 1500s, the Mannerist style, with its emphasis on artificiality, had developed in opposition to the idealized naturalism of High Renaissance art, and Mannerism spread from Florence and Rome to become the dominant style in Europe. The British wanted to expand their nation westward, but were not interested making fair treaties with the Natives. As a result, there was conflict and tension when the colonialists began to move the Native Americans from their land. The Spanish on the other hand did not seek to remove the Indians but to collaborate with them
The last Muslim kingdom of Spain. It was seized by Ferdinand and Isabel being seen as one of the "problems" of 1492. Granada had a lot of Muslim influence (El Alhambra- a major region for trade and markets for European and luxury goods)
