First, let's see what group of numbers each one is:

The real numbers are all numbers including irrationals, decimals, etc.

Integers are numbers that don't have any fractional parts, which means that decimal numbers are not integers.

So, since we work with the number 0,5 and 2,5 (height of the fifth step) I think the answer is A, integers, because you can't go up or down less than one step. You can either go one step, or more. It's impossible to walk 1/2 step.

Hope it helped,

The domain is the set of integers since the number of steps can be positive and negative without a partial step (either you take the step or not).

Find the value or measure below. Assume that lines that appear tangent to be tangent.
Ahat [919]

Answer:

x = 11.2

Step-by-step explanation:

hypotenuse = 8.4 (radius) + 5.6 = 14

using the Pythagorean theorem:

x² = 14² - 8.4² = 196 - 70.56 =125.44

x = √125.44 = 11.2

fomenos

The first thing any good mathematician does is convert the measurements to the same unit as what the question is asking. In this problem, it states that the pool fills at a rate of 20 cubic meters per hour. Just keep in mind that an hour is 60 minutes.

The next step is to see how many cubic meters will cost $300. This can be done by dividing 300 by 10. This gets you 30 cubic meters of water.

You already know that 60 minutes is 20 cubic meters of water. That leaves the remaining 10 cubic meters of water. By dividing the rate given, you get that 30 minutes is 10 cubic meters of water. Add the 60 and 30 together to get 90 minutes.

It will take 90 minutes for the pump to use $300.
