In Amendment 2, what should be changed?

History
1 answer:

Answer:

From the right to bear arms to the ability/opportunity to bear arms.

Explanation:

Second amendment of United States granted citizens a right to own firearms.

The  word 'Right' indicate that  that it cannot be taken away by the government under any circumstances.

The problem is that not all people have the proper mental capacity to own fire arms.  Some people are mentally unstable and heavily too temperamental. If we let "all" citizens to bear arms, we provide the opportunity for this type of people to misused the weapon.

So, I believed the wording in 2nd amendment should be changed from right to ability/opportunity. It provide a room for government to create an psychological evaluation for the people before purchasing firearms.

Write 1-2 paragraphs on a summary of Medieval Europe
Paul [167]

Answer:The Middle Ages, or Medieval Times, in Europe was a long period of history from 500 AD to 1500 AD. That's 1000 years! It covers the time from the fall of the Roman Empire to the rise of the Ottoman Empire. This was a time of castles and peasants, guilds and monasteries, cathedrals and crusades.Great leaders such as Joan of Arc and Charlemagne were part of the Middle Ages as well as major events such as the Black Plague and the rise of Islam. Notre Dame by Adrian Pingstone Middle Ages, Medieval Times, Dark Ages: What's the Difference? When people use the terms Medieval Times, Middle Ages, and Dark Ages they are generally referring to the same period of time. The Dark Ages is usually referring to the first half of the Middle Ages from 500 to 1000 AD. After the fall of the Roman Empire, a lot of the Roman culture and knowledge was lost. This included art, technology, engineering, and history. Historians know a lot about Europe during the Roman Empire because the Romans kept excellent records of all that happened. However, the time after the Romans is "dark" to historians because there was no central government recording events. This is why historians call this time the Dark Ages. Although the term Middle Ages covers the years between 500 and 1500 throughout the world, this timeline is based on events specifically in Europe during that time. Which of the following did NOT shape the character of English settlements in America?
stepan [7]

The correct answer is The colonies promoted freedom of religion.

Explanation:

English settlers first arrived on the American continent at the beginning of the 17th century and over the next years and centuries colonies were formed mainly along the east coast of the continent. These colonies partially resembled England but also were different in some aspects.

In terms of religion, the colonies were mainly restrictive. This can be explained due to the great influence of puritans who emphasized the importance of Protestantism and morals related to it. Indeed, due to this belief in some colonies such as Massachusetts those considered to be witches were persecuted. According to this, the colonies were not characterized by freedom of religion.
