During the Dust Bowl, people experienced dust storms which had a detrimental effect on the environment and their livelihoods. People could see mixture of soil erosion and winds caused the dust to fly freely and at high velocities. As a consequence, animals such as birds perished from the resulting suffocation and could be seen falling freely

A severe Dust storm arose in America on 14th April 1935, as a fragment of dust storm it was one of the most dreadful dust storms that have ever occurred in the history of the America. It resulted in massive agricultural and economic loss, eroding around 300 million tons of topsoil from the Prairies of America. Firstly it blew through Oklahoma and Panhandle and then moved southward toward Boise city. Texas and Amarillo. Oklahoma, panhandles, and Texas were severely affected.

The main reason behind the occurrence of the dust storm was overgrazing of cattle, which left the soil loose and dehydrated. As a result of which soli lacked organic matter and moisture. Another reason wasfamine, which occurred in the United States that year.

Hundreds of people got killed in the storm and thousand were abandoned from their houses. Later in 1935 Soil conservation Act was passed by Congress to preserve the soil and avoid any further dust storm. “Soil conservation services” agency was established as its permanent bureau in the USA.
