15 - For this problem, you'll multiply the distance from Earth to the Sun by 10, and then find the planet with a similar distance:

149,600 * 10 = 1,496,000km

According to the table, Saturn is 1,427,000km from the sun, the closest number to 1,496,000km in out table.

16 - For this problem we'll have to divide the distance from Uranus to the Sun by 10, and then find the planet with a similar distance:

2,871,000 / 10 = 287,100km

According to the table, Mars is 227,900km from the Sun the closest number to 287,100km in our table.

What is the weight of a square if a triangle weighs 4 grams? Explain your reasoning
stellarik [79]

Answer:

8 grams

Step-by-step explanation:

The balance is in equilibrium, so the weights of the two sides are equal.

Let the weight of a square be s.

Left side: 2s + 4

Right side: s + 3(4) = s + 12

The weights are equal, so we set the two expressions equal.

2s + 4 = s + 12

s = 8

Answer: The weight of a square is 8 grams.
