Given:

Volume of rectangular prism = 4 cubic units

Side length of cube = \frac{1}{3} unit

To find:

How many cubes fill in the prism.

Solution:

Volume of cube = side × side × side

                           $=\frac{1}{3} \times \frac{1}{3}  \times \frac{1}{3}

                           $=\frac{1}{27}

$\text{Number of cubes}=\frac{\text{Volume of rectangular prism}}{\text{Volume of cube}}

                          $=\frac{4}{\frac{1}{27} }

Apply the fraction: \frac{a}{\frac{b}{c}}=\frac{a \cdot c}{b}

                          $=\frac{4 \cdot 27}{1}

Number of cubes = 108

Therefore 108 cubes fill in the prism.

Line A passes through the points (-5, 1) and (5, 11).
11111nata11111 [884]
Line A:m = \frac{y_{2} - y_{1}}{x_{2} - x_{1}} = \frac{11 - 1}{5 - (-5)} = \frac{10}{5 + 5} = \frac{10}{10} = 1
y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)
 y - 1 = 1(x - (-5))
 y - 1 = 1(x + 5)
 y - 1 = 1(x) + 1(5)
 y - 1 = x + 5
   + 1       + 1
       y = x + 6

Line B:m = \frac{y_{2} - y_{1}}{x_{2} - x_{1}} = \frac{20 - (-1)}{-3 - 4} = \frac{20 + 1}{-7} = \frac{21}{-7} = -3
   y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)
y - (-1) = -3(x - 4)
   y + 1 = -3(x) + 3(4)
   y + 1 = -3x + 12
       - 1          -    1
         y = -3x + 11

y = x + 6
y = -3x + 11

     x + 6 = -3x + 11
+ 3x        + 3x
   4x + 6 = 11
         - 6   - 6
         4x = 5
          4     4
           x = 1¹/₄
           y = x + 6
           y = 1¹/₄ + 6
           y = 7¹/₄
     (x, y) = (1¹/₄, 7¹/₄)

The answer is B.

What is the value of k
Nikitich [7]

Answer:

K = 10

Step-by-step explanation:

Interior angle adjacent to y = 180-115 = 65

Sum of interior angles in a triangle = 180

This the remaining interior angles for the triangle = 180-65= 115

In other words,

4K+5+6k+10 = 115

Simplify and solve:

10k + 15 = 115

10k = 115-15=100

K= 100/10 = 10

Hope this helps.

Good Luck

I need algebra help.....
Lubov Fominskaja [6]

Answer:

y=4(3)^x

Step-by-step explanation:

From the table given in the question,

x            y              Difference                  Ratio

1            12                     -                             -

2           36              36-12 = 24              \frac{36}{12}=3

3          108            108-36 = 72             \frac{108}{36}=3

4          324            324-108 = 216        \frac{324}{108}=3

5          972            972-324 = 648      \frac{648}{216}=3

There is a common ratio of 3 in each successive term.

Therefore, data given in the table will represent an exponential function.

y=a(b)^x

For a point (1, 12),

12=a(b)^1

ab=12 ------(1)

For another point of the table (2,36),

36=a(b)^2

ab^2=36 --------(2)

Equation (2) divided by equation (1)

\frac{ab^2}{ab}=\frac{36}{12}

b=3

From equation (1),

3a=12

a=4

Therefore, exponential function will be,

y=4(3)^x
