Geographers use map projections to translate the planet in a two dimensional representation. Unfortunately, you can’t display 3D surfaces perfectly in two dimensions, distortions always occur. There are many different projections that are commonly used throughout the world.
Weathering and erosion
Explanation:
Weathering and erosion are the processes that would be partially responsible for the change in the landmasses. Since the image shows movement of continents to their current positions, their surfaces would have been sculpted by the agents of denudation through its 250mya history.
- Denudation is the gradual process of lowering and leveling of the earth surface by breaking and wearing away of such surfaces.
- The agents of denudation are wind, running water, ice and waves.
- Denudation is a constant process that the earth undergoes from time to time.

The closest layer of the atmosphere is called the Troposphere which extends up to about 7.5 miles into the atmosphere. The next layer is called the Stratosphere which extends from approximately 7.5 miles to 21.1 miles into the atmosphere. The next layer is called the Mesosphere which extends from from 21 miles to 49.7 miles up and the final level is the Thermosphere goes from 49.7 miles up to 195.6 miles into the atmosphere.
